For a couples’ trip, look at the atmosphere as well as the adults-only label. Ask about evening entertainment, pool music, restaurant choices and whether your room is near busy public areas. Adults-only does not necessarily mean quiet.

A hotel-only reservation can work if your flights are already arranged or you are adding a resort stay to a longer trip. Compare like for like: a room rate and a flight-inclusive package are different purchases, even if both use the words “all-inclusive”.
Step 4: Check the Exact Room and Resort
Look beyond the lead photograph. Confirm whether you are booking a full or partial sea view, a shared swim-up pool or a private pool, and whether the advertised terrace belongs to your room category.
Read recent reviews for recurring comments about noise, cleanliness, food availability and service. Ask the resort about any detail that could affect your stay, including nearby works, pool heating or the walking route to the beach.
Beachfront location does not establish that the beach is private or that loungers and other beach services are included. Check the arrangement rather than relying on the description alone.

Search the UK departure airports you can realistically reach. A cheaper package from another airport may lose its advantage once you add parking, rail fares or an overnight hotel.

For example, a hypothetical £1,800 package plus £200 in essential extras costs £2,000. A £1,950 option including those same extras would cost £50 less. That is an illustration of the calculation, not a live offer or a promise that the higher headline price is better value.

For a UK flight-inclusive booking, establish whether it is ATOL protected. The CAA’s explanation of ATOL protection describes financial protection if the relevant travel company fails. For a protected booking, check your ATOL Certificate and the company identified as protecting your trip, which may be different from the agent selling it.
A premium price does not establish the level of protection. ATOL is not travel insurance and does not cover ordinary service complaints or every cancellation. Check insurance separately against the trip and activities you plan.
